Letter to Moreton Bay Regional Residents

Working with service clubs to provide community facilities
Welcome to my website and thank you for taking the time to visit.
It is now rapidly approaching four years since the amalgamation of the Caboolture, Pine Rivers and Redcliffe councils to create Australia's third largest local authority, the Moreton Bay Regional Council stretching over 2,037 sq kms. The challenges that this has created have far exceeded what we were all told to expect and despite these challenges, I have been proud to represent the 30,000 plus residents across the 600 sq kms of diverse communities that comprise Division 11.
Much has taken place around the Division and I am pleased to have contributed to the significant achievements made by this Council which have made Moreton Bay Region the great place it is to live, work and play.
As we enter the last months before the next Council election on 28th April 2012, you can be assured that, despite the difficulties being faced by local government across the State, I will continue to work hard for my residents to deliver fair, equitable and value for money services and facilities with the integrity and energy that have been cornerstones of my life and I look forward to each opportunity to meet more of you as I move around the Division.

Discussing local issues with residents

Working with State Members to provide transport solutions
I am pleased to introduce myself through this website and particularly to those residents with whom the opportunity to meet personally has not arisen and to let you know a little about myself and about my achievements as a Councillor.
I look forward to continuing to use my skills, experience and enthusiasm for the benefit of the Moreton Bay Region, its 390,000 residents and particularly those of you who make Division 11 your home.
I also look forward, with your support on March 31st, in continuing to provide you with a good listening ear, strong leadership and sound governance to ensure that council delivers the much needed services and facilities for our community and to protect the lifestyle that brought most of us to live in the region.
Now is the time when more than ever, experience will be needed, to make this significant local authority work successfully for you and I am committed to working hard on issues that are important to all residents.
I hope that you find this website useful and I invite you to contact me if there are any issues with which you feel I may be able to assist.
Regards,

Bob Millar
