Dear Residents,
Many of you will be aware that the amalgamation of the Caboolture, Pine Rivers and Redcliffe councils to create Australia's third largest local authority, will take effect with the elections to be held on 15 March 2008. I am seeking election to Division 11 of the new Moreton Bay Regional Council which comprises all of the existing Pine Rivers Division 1 plus a number of localities that currently adjoin this existing division (Narangba, Draper, Yugar, Cashmere, Whiteside, and additional parts of Kurwongbah)
The new Division 11 will be significantly larger (approx 603 sq kilometres) and with 19,985 voters will be twice the size of the current Pine Rivers Division 1 which I have had the pleasure of representing for the past 8 years.
I am pleased to take this opportunity to introduce myself through this website, to let you know a little about myself and much more about my achievements as a Councillor and how I look forward to bringing to the new Council and its residents, the skills, experience and enthusiasm that have contributed significantly to the services, facilities and lifestyle that have made Pine Rivers such a great place to live.

I look forward, with your support on March 15th, in continuing to provide strong leadership and sound governance to ensure that the new council delivers the much needed services and facilities for our community and to protect the lifestyle that brought most of us to live in the region.
Now is the time when more than ever, experience will be needed, to make this significant local authority work successfully for you.
I invite you to contact me if there are any issues with which you feel I may be able to assist.
Regards,
Bob Millar
