Budget 2011-2012
You will have already read much about the recent $570m budget’s big picture outcomes in local media and Council’s Moreton Living Newsletter.Roads, parks, carparks, pathways and sports in Divison 11 are the big beneficiaries amongst this budgets $182 million dollar capital works programme.
Raynbird and Roberts Roads Narangba and Cedar Creek Road, Cedar Creek are the major projects in the Division’s $5m roads and drainage programme with more than $1,259,000 provided for a range of park, sporting and playground works across the region. Planning also continues for additional sports fields at the Harris Avenue, Narangba complex and work will shortly take place on refurbishment of the Cash house at Samford Parklands to meet the short term needs of Samford Rangers when they relocate. I will provide further details on individual projects in future editions of Millar’s Mailbag and as I attend the many community meetings around the Division.
