Bob has been an active and longtime contributor to the community at local, state and national level and looks forward to continuing to serve the residents of the Moreton Bay Regional Council and particularly those of Division 11. The following is a brief summary of Bob's personal profile.

- Councillor Division 11 Moreton Bay Regional Council ( 2008 - present)
- A resident of the region for over 26 years.
- Married to Dot with three adult children.
- Over 30 years experience in financial and business management.
- Member and past president of Samford Valley Rotary Club.
- Currently in 13th year as Chairman and 24th year as volunteer with Samford Rural Fire Brigade.
- Former president and vice president of Samford State School P & C.
- Former vice president of Samford Progress and Protection Assoc.
- Served over 9 years on Qld State Board of finance industry association ( Securities Institute).
- Patron and/or ex-officio member of several community groups.
- Recipient of 1999 Samford Community Award, awarded a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow (1995) and Rotary District Governor's certificate for leadership and community service (2003).
- Awarded the National Medal by the Governor General in 2009 for long and diligent service to the Fire Service.
- Current board member of Pine Rivers Community Finance Ltd ( parent company of the Brendale and Samford Bendigo Community Bank branches)
- Current board member of Local Government Mutual Liability Pool and Local Government Workcare
- Council spokesman for Corporate Services ( Including finance and budgetting) - 2008 to present
